Well, on my first St. Pat's Day in the bar in probably 25 years, the entertainment was wonderful. Not only did they do up the beer a lovely shade of green, it was loud and noisy and full of laughter! Great stuff!
The icing on the cake though was the Pipe Band that came in about half way through the nite. They were apparently on the street walking around and playing, and the owner of the establishment I was in, which BTW was called...Bob The Fish....what can I say we're Canadian.....LOL.... went out and invited them all in for beers if they would play a few tunes for his customers.
There were about 6 drummers and 6 pipers, complete with kilts, hats and everything green and red you could think of. And LADIES....wait for it.....they were all from the local Fire Department.....how cool is that? They played, Amazing Grace, Oh Danny Boy, and a couple of really upbeat tunes I didn't recognize but, were equally fantastic. I LOVE pipes and drums !
So being the nosy person that I am I asked a couple of the finer looking ones, if they felt as comfortable in their skirts as I was in mine.....to which they replied, "Oh yeah, you wear all that tight underwear".....to which I replied...."Who says?".......and then made my exit, to the sound of roaring laughter and "Good answer" coming from the ones within earshot.....LMAO! One should always make a graceful exit.....LOL!
I think I'm going out again next year, and uuummm the wine just turned a really crappy shade of brown....perhaps I'll start with white wine next year instead of red.....LOL
